RETURN: Domingo Acevedo Back On Mound For Trenton

New York Yankees pitching prospect Domingo Acevedo was back on the mound on Monday for the Double-A Trenton Thunder, working three innings. Acevedo had been sidelined since April 11 with a blister on his right index finger. According to reports, Acevedo’s fastball sat mid-to-upper 90s on Monday. He struck out three batters while facing the minimum 9 in 3 innings. There’s still no exact timeframe for Acevedo to return to Trenton’s starting rotation, but look for him to hit the ground running when he’s back in action.
