RETURN: Franklin Perez Returns From Injury For Tigers

Detroit Tigers starting pitching prospect Franklin Perez returned to action from injury on Monday. According to The Athletic’s Emily Waldon, Perez was limited to 2 innings in his return. He made 26 pitches, striking out 2 batters in 2 innings and allowing 1 earned run. Perez was on the shelf with the dreaded ‘lat strain’. The Tigers will likely be cautious with Perez through his rehab, but he’s the organization’s top pitching prospect. Perez came over to the Tigers in the Justin Verlander deal last summer.
