RECAP: Dylan Cease (White Sox) Dominant Thursday
Chicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Dylan Cease was dominant in his start on Thursday, striking out nine batters over a career-high 7 1/3 innings of work for the A-Advanced Winston-Salem Dash. Cease, 22, hit 99 mph on a fastball which was his 102nd pitch of the night. Cease is pushing for a promotion up to AA Birmingham, as his ERA is now down to 2.83 on the season. Don’t look for him to make his MLB debut this season, but Cease is another pitching prospect in an increasingly deep White Sox system full of young arms.
