Baseball Farm’s 2019 Content Plan

Hi, fellow farmhand fans! We’ve just wrapped up our first year of coverage and we wanted to share with you what we have planned for 2019, as we continue to grow our team and our coverage:


The Harvest 2019: Our annual draft and hold competition. This year, we are expanding the field and tweaking some rules. Here’s the roster of participants for 2019 (in addition to our 7-man Baseball Farm squad):

Goyette’s Hitter and Pitcher Ranks: Phil Goyette will be publishing his initial pitcher ranks and updated hitter ranks for the 2019 season.

Plum Prospects – Offseason Update: Phil Goyette will fire up the aggregator and create an industry consensus Top-100 prospect list.

Hagerstown Suns Team Preview: Phil and Chip will team up with John Calvagno to create a Hagerstown Suns team preview for

2019 Draft Class Early Top-150: Alex Jensen will dive back into the 2019 Rule 4 draft class to give us his early Top-150 names to watch

Baseball Farm Podcast: The team, headed by Alex Jensen, are working on the format and details of a podcast that we are all excited to produce.

First Year Player Draft Guide: The team will collect our thoughts and provide you with rankings and tools to help you dominate the First Year Player Draft in your dynasty and keeper leagues.

Spring Training

Daily Hitter and Pitcher Panels: Chip will have the stats machine humming, providing you with daily top farmhand performances from spring training.

Farmhands of the Week: Phil starts his 3rd season of the series in Spring Training, highlighting the top farmhand performances this spring.

Spring Training Farmhand Team: The team will collaborate and provide you with our picks for the top Farmhand performers this spring.

IJR’s Scouting Reports: Back for his 2nd season, Ignatius J. Reilly breaks down one of our marquee pitching matchups, often times with the assistance of his favorite brew or bourbon.

The Next Phenom: Brenden is back for Year 2 of highlighting some of the breakout Farmhand performers during the upcoming season. Brenden’s picks last year included Wander Franco, Vidal Brujan, Isaac Paredes, Cristian Pache, and Antonio Cabello.

Crop Rotation: Brenden breaks down some of the top pitching performers in the Minors. Last year’s looks included Brusdar Graterol and Matt Manning.
