Legit four-pitch mix, top-of-the-rotation type of arm.

Entering his age 21 season, MacKenzie Gore should widely be regarded as the top pitching prospect in all of baseball. Gore repeats an extremely athletic and deceptive delivery, creating great extension down hill with a strong front side.

His fastball sits anywhere between 92-95 mph on any given night, but has touched 97 mph at times throughout last season. He’ll throw both a slider and curveball consistently for strikes, with the latter being the stronger pitch of the two and his likely strikeout pitch moving forward. Gore also features a changeup with downward actions and is already a plus pitch. With a full-fledged four-pitch mix under his belt already, Gore’s ceiling is that of a bonafide ace. The blister issues and young age have caused some concerns, but at the very least, he’s an extremely good middle-of-the-rotation type arm.
